Tara Mary Schmitt
Props Mistress (Once on This Island)
Tara is a native "Nu Yawka" and a recent graduate of Queens College, where she studied Drama and
Textiles. She is an aspiring costume designer and props mistress. All together, she has worked in
drama and dance theatre as a wardrobe supervisor, assistant stage manager, props mistress, production
assistant, scenic artist, and costume designer, as well as for organizations such as Queens College,
Xoregos Performing Company in New York City, and Barrington Stage Company in Massachusetts.
Previous productions include: Hair, Don Juan in Chicago, Elektra, Miss Julie, and War Of the Worlds. Tara
wishes to thank the Harmony Theatre Company for giving her the opportunity to work with them and
greatly appreciates all the endless support from loved ones.
