Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Nora graduated magna cum laude from
Columbia University where she majored in Drama and Theater Arts and received the
prestigious Robert I. Perlman Scholarship.  Nora has acted in film, television, and
theatrical productions across the country since the age of ten.  In New York, she has
been privileged to participate in a variety of productions, including Anton Chekhov’s
Three Sisters, Into the Woods, The House of Bernarda Alba, The Fantasticks, Yerma at the Blue
Heron Arts Center (playing the title role),
Death and the King’s Horseman, Antigone, and a
variety of original works including Bread and Puppet’s
Heathen Nativity at Theater for
the New City directed by Peter Schumann. Other favorite roles include “Rose” in
Gypsy and “Li’l Bit” in the New England premiere of Paula Vogel’s Pulitzer-prize
winning
How I Learned to Drive.  Ms. Simpson devotes a significant portion of her time
and energy to the cause of ending world hunger as well as championing the rights of
women and other oppressed groups throughout the world.
