Understudy for Fraulein Kost (Cabaret)
Monica Sharma Dogra is a recent graduate of NYU's Steinhardt School of
Education, where she got her Bachelor's in Music with a Concentration in
Vocal Performance and Music Theatre. Monica has traveled throughout
the nation with the South-Asian dance company, NASHA, where she was
both a principal dancer and choreographer. Her favorite New York credits
include Hair, Love's Fire, 'What It Iz, among others. Monica was recently
seen at the Citigroup Center's York Theatre, where she played "Arabic
Dancing Girl" in their in-Mufti production of Fanny. Monica is also a
heavy participator in the world of spoken word and slam-poetry, writing
her own songs and performance pieces. She was recently seen alongside
the likes of Keith Boogie and Sparla Swah, at CRASH MANSION, during
a benefit series to raise money for tsunami victims. She'd like to extend a
gracious ''thank-you'' to the entire cast of Cabaret: "You all have come into
my life during a time of great transition and offered me so much more than
words can describe, thank you." What more can one ask for but to sing
out into a crowd of hungry ears!? Quench my thirst with fire!!
