Michela Carattini

Stand-by for Fraulein Schneider (Cabaret)

Michela made her professional debut with the Houston Grand Opera a the age of
fourteen, winning the only female juvenile solo in their internationally television
production of
Street Scene. Since, she has performed professional throughout her
native Germany, Australia, adn the U.S., including productions of
Godspell (Sonia),
Cabaret
(Helga), Jesus Christ Superstar (dance captain), Old Sydney Towne (Jennie), The
Student Prince.  
She has appeared in U.S. tours of Cinderella (Wicked Stepmother)
and
Alice in Wonderland: The Rock Musical (Alice).  Most recently, she played "The
Angel" in a New York production of
Angels in America, which comes second only
to her proudest role of "Sarah" in
Children for a Lesser God.  Film and television
credits include "Strangers with Candy" (Comedy Central), "Third Watch" (NBC),
"The Tape", "Wait for the Next Love", and "Bruce Anthony Davis Musical
Theatre Dance Series."  She has worked as a choreographer
(Pippin, Trail of Tears),
is an avid flamenco dancer, and has even published her poetry!  Michela is a
graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and is currently studying
psychology at Columbia University (Class of 2006), where she is a Goldman Sachs
Global Leader nominee and winner of the Helen and Howard R. Marraro
Scholarship for Excellence.  She would like to thank Mum, Dad, Kendra, Kaiti,
